That Damn Don Julio Made Me A Fool for You

I just watched a YouTuber who said on her recent video “That damn Don Julio made me a fool for you.” I couldn’t wait to elaborate and speak on this topic because that statement was so real. And I could relate 100%.

I feel as a woman we let man get the most for doing the least. What do I mean by doing the least…..buying us a drink, giving minimum attention, wack bedroom activities, and small purchases. I’ve seen some women get so worked up for a guy that ain’t never do ish for them but give wack ****. And they end up as a broke busted single mom. Their lives begins to crumble meanwhile that dude is moving on to the next chic. Yeah, this post is not going to be sugarcoated and sweet it’s going to be straight raw. I’m just so tired of seeing the same things going on, and women being foolish to these dusty males.

I feel “us” women need to start putting our foot 🦶 down and demanding respect. That starts with getting your confidence levels up and avoiding these grown boys. My mom once told me that one of her friends use to put her bills on her fridge. And when a guy would try to date her she would ask them “which bill are you going to pay?” sounds like a woman who knew her time was worth something. And I’m not saying everything revolves around money either. I’m saying that is what worked for her….everybody’s something is going to be a little different. Like Denzel Washington’s wife made him propose multiple times because he didn’t do it right. Another business owner I met said his wife told him before they were married if he wanted to continue talking to her, he had to get her car out the shop. He told me he did and they have been inseparable. He said he would pick his wife over his mom and kids. Those are just some examples of women who knew their worth. 

Now, don’t get me wrong we will all go through our Don Julio fool stages. However, it’s about moving on to bigger and better things. Not allowing yourself to get there ever again. It’s a battle of not letting the small things excite you. Especially, when you know you got that designer 🐱 (S/O to Summer Walker). All I am saying is put the highest value on yourself, and it’s levels to it. You are the only one who can determine your level. You should be a woman of worth command what you want….a 💍, a commitment, bills paid, what is it? Let’s stop following for the games it’s about to be 2022. Let the dusty ones go and level up, it’s time sis!

~The Mind Set of Entrepreneur~

This is my mind set while working a day job. I constantly am visioning a way out of the rat race. I know I have super high expectations for myself. An entrepreneur mind is always going. Creating and connecting the pieces of the puzzle. The mind set protects the dream and vision from distractions. The mind set is strong and clearly focused. The mind set is me.

Honestly it's that simple. If you put your trust and faith in him. He will lead your way, if your are unsure. I am unsure all the time. I face fear on a regular basis. I just know for a fact God definitely has got my back. There is no question about it. And as I get older I have to become more aware of that. 

My birthday is important because I was blessed with life. My life is important because I inspire and motivate others. Simple!

This young lady changed my whole view on writing, especially when it comes to spoken word and performing. I have never created poetry in the sense of spoken word until I heard her. She is changing the game in the world of artistry. She is a true inspiration and it shows through her work. Im so glad I discovered her on Youtube. And yall know when I find something good I share it with the world. Here is my favorite piece of hers entitled "She lives." The season is under Construction



Construction simply means the art, trade, or work of building. Whenever we want to change something in life we work on building ourselves. We are the ones to create our blue print of what we want. We are in charge of our own legacy. We have the power to make things happen. You could be working on constructing a relationship, friendship, lifestyle, higher education, or future dreams. Whatever it is the time is now to do it, because time is ticking and you are still breathing. The year will be over within a blink of an eye (time is tricky).

~Time for a Change~

I decide to write about something that has been on my mind for a while now. I think a lot of things that people put up with is because they get use to it and become accustomed to it. Well, the truth is you don't have to put up with it, you can always do better. Change is waiting for you and you need to be ready for it too.

Letting go wouldn't be so hard if we were not so scared of change. Some people stay in mess because they get use to it, and they can't see themselves grow out of it. Instead, they decide to keep running in circles and they don't get nowhere. If those same people took one second and realize that change is a part of life than they wouldn't be stuck in that situation. Life is all about evolving and growing.

You are suppose to be involved and living life because.....

~Limitless Goals~

What do you want to do in life? What direction best suits you?

Well, whatever that dream is for you in life remember to set NO LIMITS!! See sometimes we can mentally stop ourselves from wanting more. If you want to hear the true let me tell you "it is OK to DREAM big." Go out in the world and expect to receive the things that you want and the universe will response. I mean if you want a mansion, 5 car garage, your own business, red bottom shoes, long hair, nice figure, a strong family, a closer relationship with God go for it. The truth is nobody is stopping you from living a limitless life so don't you stop yourself from it either.

You better push, and I mean push hard like a mother in labor. If you want to get that baby out, the only way to do that is to keep on pushing. I never heard of a baby coming out in one simple little push. It takes multiply pushes to receive life and one is not going to do. So get ready to get back up and try again, and again, and again. You are capable of maximizing your life, goals, and dreams.

So do not create barriers for your life, instead expect to receive those things that you want. Because if you don't set goals for your life people will play off of that. I want the best for you and you want the best for you too.

Today, I want you to write down your goals on a piece of paper. And next to your goal write how you plan to achieve those goals. Yes, I am giving you an assignment and it will benefit you in life if you do it. I am doing this because I love you and I want the best for you.

I am going to teach you something and I hope it sticks with you for the rest of your life. And that lesson is the quote I posted above. I know in society it may seem like second chances are everywhere, but life is no video game. There are not short cuts, extra men, and quarters to add to the machine when you mess up. Sometimes all you have is one shot and that is it, and that can either make you or break you. The great part about this is YOU ultimately have the power to choose what you want.

Yesterday, I watched an amazing documentary on ESPN about a famous college basketball star by the name of Len Bias. As soon as I got done watching it I knew I was going to blog about his message. You see Len Bias was an extraordinary basketball player for the University of Maryland in the 80s. He was also drafted to play for the Boston Celtics and was the second overall pick. Len Bias was even compare to the superstar Michael Jordan.

Although, Len Bias was so talented he never got the chance to play in the NBA. He died 48 hours after he was drafted from cardiac arrhythmia. Len Bias was so excited about his victory he wanted to celebrate with his friends back on his college campus. That fatal day he overdose on cocaine (most say it was his 1st time using the drug) and had a seize and stopped breathing. A star in the making was gone to soon, but I believe his story shares a special purpose today.

You see Len Bias made a decision that night that caused him his life and dream. He was only 22 years old and was on the verge of making history. What if Len Bias was the next Michael Jordan? We will never know that outcome because of the wrong decisions that were made that fatal night.

Do you get the message? Do you see how one decision can cause you your life without a second chances? Do you understand the impact it can cause to the people who love you? In life you can not give into peer pressure, you have to have a mind of our own. You have to learn how to stick with your decision and not give in. You have to be strong when the going gets rough. You have to stay on our P's and Q's. And most importantly you have to make the right decision the 1st time.

~This time of the year~

It is something special about this time of the year. Summer is just around the corner and people are starting up the grill to BBQ. There are students graduating from college and high school, weddings, proposals, baby-showers, vacations, anniversaries, and much more. If you are celebrating something congratulations to you, if are planning a vacation have a blast. If you expecting a child, congrats on the new addition to your family. And if you're getting married double high five to you! If you serve or have served as a member of the U.S. Armed Forces quadruple high five to you! The pools are opening up, the beach is waiting for your footprints, and the world is waiting on your smile.

I decide to do a book review on Tyrese's book "How to get out your Own Way" If you read my previous post you will know why I purchased the book if you didn't read it click here. I got his book the Hard copy at Borden and Noble's at the mall last month, I read it in a week. I can say this book is really good I have recommended it to my co-workers, family, and friends. Some people even came up to me to ask what I was reading. When I told them they wrote the name down so they could purchase it for themselves.

I feel the title speaks for itself...have you ever though you were holding yourself back? If the answer to you question was "yes" you are absolutely right. I always say "The only person stopping you from being you is "YOU." You can not blame your family, the economy, your professor or your boss for your life. The only person that is you can blame is yourself, yes the person that is staring back at you in the mirror. Often times we block ourselves from the blessings God wants for us. We do it out of fear sometimes or other times out of ignorance because we don't know. So when you learn this and start blaming yourself you will see that things begin to unfold. You will really get an eye opening experience because you will realize the power lies within you.

In the book Tyrese tackles commitment to your goals, hustling, why cheaters cheat, the circle of five friends, how actions speak louder than words, finding your purpose and much more.

When things fall apart we lose our strength, courage, and fight......
We imagine falling slowly
We do not have a care in the world
We pay more attention to the negative
We don't see the light at the end of the tunnel
We paint a portrait in all black and Gray
We speak down to ourselves
We become weak and do not know that we settle
We make up excuses
We hear and see things that others don't
We are out of the fairy tale land
We begin to crumble and break down completely
We see to many short-cuts
We have blurry vision
We can't share love and happiness
We want to hear music that is slow and depressing
We see no smiles, joy, or optimistic behavior
We just want to be along, isolated, and have all the free time to vent

*News Flash*

When things fall apart sometimes we forget the power we have. We are the master of our mind and we control how we choose to feel. Love yourself beyond all your flaws, believe me nobody is perfect. Perfection isn't something that we should strive to be, just love yourself and be unique. When things fall apart remember God has your back 100%, its just another test. You will come out stronger than you were before, he is able to get you through anything. You have the ability to make those mountains move if they are in your way. You don't have no road blocks unless you block yourself. Let me say that again "you have no road blocks unless you stop yourself." So uplift yourself and recognize we all have hard times but after the rain there is sunshine. When the road gets hard to fight think "this too shall pass."

Go-Getter

Who said you can only make a resolution at the beginning of the year? Well you all know it's March right? Lets get in our "go-getter" mindset and start today...on this wonderful Friday evening March the 4th (or whenever you decide to read this). It is never to late to start a new beginning, let me say that again "It is never to late to start a new beginning." Today is the day you need to put an end to your procrastination and start something new. As a matter a fact I want you to make a list...that's right that is going to be your homework assignment! You need to complete this list today before you turn out the lights and go nighty night. This list should consist of things you want to accomplish this month, and if you want to take it a step further plan your goals for the year.

You know what you want and now is the time that you quit wasting valuable time and get it together. Lets call ourselves "Go-Getters" because we are going to get what we want whenever we want it. We will not fly like birds do; instead we will soar above the sky like eagles. You want to be an eagle don't you? Well you should because there are to many birds flying around (pooping on my car too lol) , not everybody can be an eagle but you can...yes you can!
